01Who we are

Global Marine Logistic (“GML”, “we”, “us”) is a freight forwarder based in Alexandria, Egypt. This policy covers globalmarine-eg.com and the enquiries you send us through it, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp.

02What we collect

• Details you type into our forms: your name, company, email, mobile number, the team you are writing to, your message, and shipment details such as the route, cargo, weight and dates.
• What you send us directly by email, phone or WhatsApp, including documents you share.
• Your device’s internet (IP) address when you send a form. It is included in the email we receive so we can spot misuse.
• Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as the IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time.

We do not ask for payment card details or identity documents on this website.

03How we use it

• Reply to your quotation request or message.
• Arrange and follow up your shipment, customs clearance and documents.
• Keep this website secure and working.
• Meet legal, customs and accounting requirements.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not send newsletters.

04How our forms work

When you send the quote form or the contact form, your details travel over a secure (HTTPS) connection to our own web server, which emails them to our office at info@globalmarine-eg.com. We then email you a confirmation with your reference number and a copy of your request.

To stop spam, each form has a hidden field that people do not see, and the server keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address with the time of each send, only to limit repeated sending within a 10-minute window.

If you choose Send via WhatsApp on the quote form, your request opens in WhatsApp and is sent through WhatsApp, not through our web server.

05Cookies and your browser

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

The currency tools save the latest exchange rates in your browser’s local storage so the page loads faster. This holds exchange rates only, no personal data, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

06Services from other companies

A few features load content from other companies. When they do, that company can see your IP address and browser details, and its own privacy policy applies.

• Google Fonts: the fonts on this website load from Google’s servers. See Google’s privacy policy.
• ExchangeRate-API: the currency tools ask open.er-api.com for public exchange rates. No personal data is sent with these requests.
• Google Maps: on the Contact page, the map loads from Google only after you press Show the map.
• WhatsApp, social networks and carrier tracking pages: our links open those services, and their own privacy policies apply.

07Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. We share details only when needed to carry out the service you ask for, for example with shipping lines, airlines, trucking partners, port and customs authorities and our agents abroad, or when the law requires it.

08How long we keep it

We keep emails, messages and shipment records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet legal, customs and accounting obligations.

09Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Some records, such as customs and accounting documents, may have to be kept by law.
