Common Questions

Which currency do you quote in?

Sea and air freight are quoted in US dollars. Local charges in Egypt, such as port fees, customs clearance and trucking, are quoted in Egyptian pounds.

Are these the same as my bank rate?

No. These are indicative mid-market rates for planning. Banks add a spread and fees, and our invoices use the bank exchange rate.

How often are the rates updated?

Once a day. The date of the rates is shown above the converter. If the rate service is unavailable, the page shows the last saved rates with their date.

Why can my invoice total differ from the calculator?

The calculator uses today's indicative rate. The invoice uses the bank rate, which can be different on the day of conversion, and transfers may add bank fees.
